If Knowledge is Power, then Information is Empowering

Concept

Governments, Non Government Organizations, Academic Researchers and others routinely collect data on different aspects of society – such as Poverty, Literacy, Education, Health, and others. These data generally end up in tons of Reports, and Spreadsheets. In case of Government, most of these data are public domain, in case of others, they are generally ready to share Wikipedia , Slideshare, YouTube and such other information sharing platforms have evidenced and endorsed the concept of information sharing environments (for Texts, Images, Videos, Presentation Slides, or any other format). Today we are witness to a new 'Sharing is Empowering' paradigm.

What we lack today is a platform and an Information System that allows people and organizations to share their data.

Goal

Overarching goal is to create a platform for sharing development data/spreadsheets (Elections, Health, Literacy, Education, Industrial pollutants…) and gain insights through Data Analytics, Mapping, and Intelligence.

More specifically –

• Build a system and a suite of the tools that lets people to Upload spreadsheets, Download them, build Databases, enable Data Warehousing and visualize data in many different ways.

• Build a scalable and sustainable process model - Open Community Development Model.
